Product updates, release notes, and changelog from the Trackstack team.
We fixed an issue where your maximum tracks-per-submission setting would appear to reset after refreshing the page, even though it was actually saved. Your preference will now display correctly immediately after you set it. We also improved the player interface so tooltips display properly without being hidden behind artwork.
Impact: Your submission preferences are now correctly displayed after page refreshes
We've fixed an issue that prevented users from selecting existing playlists when uploading tracks. The playlist selector now works properly and stays open while you select multiple playlists, making it easier to assign tracks to your existing projects.
Impact: You can now successfully select existing playlists when uploading tracks
We've fixed an issue where certain sections of Inbox would fail to load if the app was updated while you had it open in a browser tab. Now, if this happens, you'll see a helpful message explaining what occurred and a button to reload the page to continue working.
Impact: App sections no longer crash completely when updated while you're using it
We've resolved an issue where the application would freeze when you clicked the rename option on an audience list. The rename dialog will now open smoothly without any UI lockup, allowing you to continue working without needing to refresh the page.
Impact: Application no longer freezes when renaming audience lists
We've fixed an issue where clicking the 'View Public Link' button in the inbox share dialog would result in a 404 error. The public link now opens correctly in a new browser tab, and works properly across all environment types including testing builds.
Impact: Public inbox links now open without errors
We've added a new demo request system that integrates with Folk CRM to better manage product demo requests from potential customers. We've also made several design refinements to improve the overall user experience, including better form layouts and typography improvements.
Impact: Demo requests are now automatically synced to your CRM system for better lead management
We've fixed a bug in the Studio where the Globe icon wasn't properly loaded in the module navigation menu. This ensures all navigation icons display correctly and consistently.
Impact: Navigation menu displays all icons as intended
We've reorganized the campaign creation process to make it easier to find and reuse templates. When creating a new email campaign, you'll now see three organized tabs: Basic Templates (starter designs), Your Templates (campaigns you've saved), and Your Emails (previous campaigns). Plus, you can now save any campaign as a reusable template with a single click.
Impact: Quickly create campaigns from your own saved templates without recreating designs from scratch
We've fixed an issue with the contract state filter in your Sent messages section. The filter will now work correctly when you're trying to view messages by contract status, ensuring you can reliably organize and find your sent items.
Impact: Contract state filtering now works reliably in the Sent section
You can now see and filter submissions by their contract status when viewing your sent items. Track whether contracts are waiting for signature, have been signed, or are complete, giving you better visibility into the status of your outgoing submissions.
Impact: Better visibility into contract lifecycle stages for each submission
When you open a submission, track, profile, or contact detail from a list, the sidebar now stays visible and the list remembers your scroll position when you go back. Browser back button and a new back affordance now work consistently everywhere, and you can share direct links to these detail views.
Impact: Scroll position is preserved when navigating back to lists, so you stay at the same place instead of jumping to the top
We've fixed an issue where custom background images uploaded for bio pages weren't being displayed. Now when you upload a background image for your bio page, it will appear correctly behind your profile content, just as you set it up in the editor.
Impact: Custom background images now display properly on your published bio page
We've fixed an issue where the Pause Inbox control was missing from your Inbox Settings. You can now easily pause your inbox to prevent new submissions and customize the message shown to senders when your inbox is paused. The Pause Message feature allows you to let submitters know why you're not accepting new tracks.
Impact: Regain access to the Pause Inbox control in your Inbox Settings
Contract milestones—when contracts are sent, signed, have changes requested, and are fully executed—now appear in your submission activity feed. This gives you a complete timeline of the deal's progress alongside other interactions like comments and downloads, making it easier to track the full history of your submissions in one place.
Impact: See the complete contract history without switching between different views
We've added new settings to manage how your studios appear in listings and discovery. You can now control studio visibility and listing preferences directly from your studio settings. The studio navigation has also been improved to make it easier to access your studios list.
Impact: Control how your studios are displayed in directories and discovery features
We've fixed a critical issue with playlist downloads that was causing the system to run out of memory when downloading large playlists. Downloads now stream files one at a time instead of loading everything into memory at once, making the service more stable and reliable.
Impact: Large playlist downloads are now more reliable and less likely to fail
We've resolved an issue that was preventing bulk playlist downloads from completing successfully. Previously, the download feature would fail and report all tracks as unavailable, even though individual track downloads worked fine. This has now been fixed and downloads should work smoothly.
Impact: Bulk playlist downloads now complete successfully without errors
We've fixed an issue where template variables (pills) weren't displaying correctly in the template preview within the submission tracking drawer. This ensures you see accurate variable information when working with templates.
Impact: Template variables now display correctly in previews
We've fixed missing import issues in the Inbox contacts list and Analytics geography section that were preventing these features from working correctly. These fixes ensure that icons and components display properly and functionality works as intended.
Impact: Inbox contacts list now displays correctly with proper icons
We've gated the template variable pills feature behind Wave 4, our latest feature rollout. This means template variable pills (the visual elements showing {variables} like {artistName}) are now only available to users in Wave 4. Users not yet in Wave 4 will see variables as plain text in their feedback templates.
Impact: Controlled rollout of template variable features to ensure stability and quality
We've added a new notification type for deal flow events, allowing you to receive in-app and email notifications when artists sign contracts, request changes, or deliver finals. You can manage these notifications alongside your other workspace notification preferences in Settings.
Impact: Stay informed about important deal and contract milestones without missing updates
We've redesigned the deal review interface to make it easier to read and interact with contracts. Artists can now draw their signature directly in the signing flow, and contract details are presented more clearly. The overall signing experience is more intuitive and matches the rest of our app's design.
Impact: Draw your signature directly in the browser instead of just typing your name—your handwritten mark will appear on the executed contract
You can now declare multiple sample or vocal packs for a single track instead of just one. When submitting tracks, you'll see an option to add additional packs with their own names, URLs, and license types. This gives you more flexibility when tracks use samples from multiple sources.
Impact: Declare multiple sample packs per track with individual details for each
We've fixed how line breaks are preserved in comments and feedback messages, so your carefully formatted text will display exactly as you intended. We've also improved how offers are attached to decline messages—now when you select an offer in the decline form, it will be sent automatically with your message without requiring an extra step.
Impact: Line breaks in comments and templates are now preserved, allowing for properly formatted multi-line messages
We've fixed a visual issue in dark mode where the track row's left border was displaying incorrectly. Additionally, we've added a new solid button style option for better visual consistency across the inbox interface.
Impact: Dark mode track rows now display with the correct border styling
Screen reader users in non-English languages will now hear properly translated block type names (like "imagen" instead of "image" in Spanish) when editing email blocks in campaigns. Previously, the block type labels were not being translated, making it harder for non-English users to navigate the editor.
Impact: Improved accessibility for non-English screen reader users
You can now retry a failed campaign directly from its detail page, without having to navigate back to the campaigns list. When you successfully retry a campaign, it automatically moves back to draft status so you can make any needed fixes before sending it again.
Impact: Faster workflow when retrying failed campaigns—no need to navigate back to the list
Mobile and tablet users can now preview their link-in-bio pages with a floating eye icon button that opens a full-screen preview. We've also improved error messages when slug validation fails, making it clearer what went wrong. Additionally, we've made the link onboarding flow more mobile-friendly with better responsive layout.
Impact: Preview your link page on mobile/tablet without leaving the editor
When downloading a playlist as a ZIP file, tracks are no longer silently dropped if the total size exceeds the limit. Instead, you'll see a clear message before the download starts explaining what's happening and how to split the download into smaller batches. Any tracks that can't be included will be listed inside the ZIP file so you know exactly what's missing.
Impact: No more silent data loss—you'll never send an incomplete playlist without knowing it
When you toggled likes on tracks in your inbox, the 'Liked By' filtered queue wasn't always updating correctly. We've fixed this so that when you like or unlike a track, the filtered queue immediately reflects the change without showing stale information.
Impact: Your 'Liked By' filtered queue now updates instantly when you toggle likes
We've fixed an issue where required sender fields (Instagram handle and Spotify artist ID) weren't being properly enforced when submitting to certain inboxes. Now, when an inbox owner marks these fields as required, the system will correctly validate that submissions include them before accepting the submission.
Impact: Submissions are now properly validated against inbox requirements before being sent
We've fixed an issue that was preventing users from enabling 'Show inbox in directory' in their settings. Additionally, we've improved the download profile modal to appear above the expanded player and work more reliably with popup blockers.
Impact: Can now successfully enable the 'Show inbox in directory' option in settings
We fixed an issue where disabling a public project sharing link would permanently delete it. Now when you disable a sharing link, all the settings, statistics, and invitation history are preserved. This means you can re-enable the link later without losing any information or having to reconfigure it.
Impact: Sharing links can now be temporarily disabled and re-enabled without losing configuration
The player now lets you adjust track tempo up or down by 1 BPM at a time using new +/− buttons next to the BPM display. When you adjust the tempo, a purple badge shows the offset and lets you snap back to the original BPM with one click. Keyboard shortcuts (Shift+↑ and Shift+↓) are also available.
Impact: Quickly match a track's tempo to your preferred playback speed without affecting the original file
We've added comprehensive validation to prevent inboxes from being created or updated with empty names. This fixes a bug that could occur during workspace setup where blank inbox names were occasionally saved, and ensures the system consistently rejects invalid names across all creation and update paths.
Impact: Prevents creation of inboxes with empty or blank names
We've fixed a translation issue where the 'Save link' button was displaying as a technical code instead of proper text. This ensures all labels in the app now display correctly in English and Spanish.
Impact: All interface labels now display correctly instead of showing technical identifiers
We've fixed an issue where some notifications were displaying with blank inbox names, appearing as empty rows. This was caused by a timing issue during workspace setup that has now been corrected. We've also backfilled existing affected inboxes with proper names derived from their identifiers.
Impact: Notifications now always display with proper inbox names
You can now attach reference links (videos, webpages, or other URLs) directly to your submissions. Add as many links as you need with custom labels, and we'll automatically grab the webpage title and thumbnail to make your references look polished. It's a great way to provide context or supporting material alongside your tracks.
Impact: Attach up to 5 reference links per submission to provide context or supporting material
The Releases section now has a dedicated Deals tab, making it easier to track and manage your release deals separately. Several bugs have been fixed including release actions (confirm, cancel, complete) now working correctly for deal-flow inboxes, and track badges now display properly in your inbox. The offer picker in the decline form is also easier to read in dark mode.
Impact: New Deals tab in the Releases section gives you a dedicated place to view and manage release deals
We've fixed issues with guest contract signing to make it more reliable and provide clearer feedback when something goes wrong. Artists will now see helpful error messages if there are network issues or form validation problems, rather than confusing or generic errors.
Impact: Better error messages that explain what went wrong and how to fix it
We fixed a bug where the app could display in Spanish even for workspaces that don't have multilingual features enabled. Now the app correctly respects workspace settings and only shows non-English languages when your workspace supports it. You may briefly see English when reloading the app before your preferred language loads—this is intentional to ensure the correct language is shown.
Impact: App now correctly respects your workspace's language settings
We've improved how we determine which posts appear in your Trending Posts section. Instead of showing an arbitrary selection, we now rank posts by engagement—measuring likes and comments—with the newest posts breaking ties. This means you'll see the most popular and actively discussed content from your studio.
Impact: See the most engaged posts rather than arbitrary selections
We've fixed a bug where the 'Move to stack' button wasn't appearing consistently on all tracks, even when it should have been available. Now the button appears reliably on all eligible tracks, and on the Stack page it's been moved to a prominent position next to the Download button so it's easier to find.
Impact: Move-to-stack button now appears consistently on all tracks where it should be available
We've added a Reach entry to your left sidebar in the 'More' section, making it easy to access without needing to use a direct URL. The Reach link now appears alongside Orbit and Studio for workspaces that have access to it.
Impact: Faster navigation to Reach — no need to use direct URLs anymore
We've added a new 'Revisions' filter option to your Notifications page, allowing you to easily view and manage revision requests separately from other notifications. This joins your existing filters like Comments, Reviews, and other notification types for better organization.
Impact: Easier filtering and management of revision requests in your inbox
Fixed critical issues with the channel Access tab where visibility changes weren't being applied properly. Secret channels were incorrectly showing as Private, and converting channels between visibility levels now requires proper confirmation. Changes to channel visibility now work as intended.
Impact: Secret channels now correctly display as Secret and remain hidden from non-members when you save without changes
We fixed a bug where admin pages could become unreachable from the sidebar navigation. Additionally, we fixed a broken 'Add events to calendar' button that wasn't working properly. All admin navigation links and routes are now automatically kept in sync, preventing similar issues in the future.
Impact: All admin pages are now reliably accessible from the sidebar—no more unreachable pages
Studio owners and admins can now choose on a per-post basis whether audio posts display under the studio's name or their personal name. This toggle appears in the audio post composer, giving you more flexibility in how you present your content.
Impact: Post content under your personal name when you want to highlight individual coaching
Studio owners can now restrict event visibility by membership plan or cohort, ensuring exclusive events only reach intended members. We've also fixed several bugs in event creation and editing that prevented access restrictions from being saved properly, and improved the event creation modal's date picker usability.
Impact: Control who sees your events—restrict visibility to specific membership plans or member cohorts
Member cohorts are now complete and ready to use end-to-end. You can create cohorts, add members individually or in bulk, and use them to gate channel access. The Cohorts section is now easily accessible from the admin sidebar, and all operations have been thoroughly tested and validated.
Impact: Create and manage member cohorts directly from the admin panel with intuitive create/edit dialogs
