OCTOBER 2026
Signed Contracts Now Attached to Confirmation Emails
When you sign a contract, you'll now receive the fully executed contract as a PDF attachment in your confirmation email. This makes it easier to keep a record of your signed agreement without having to navigate back to the app to find it.
SEPTEMBER 2026
Email notification opt-outs now work correctly across all products
We fixed a critical issue where users were continuing to receive email notifications even after disabling them in their notification settings. The problem was on the sending side of emails—we were checking the wrong workspace, missing permission gates, or not checking if users had consented to emails. Users will also now see a new toggle to control 'Submission cancelled' emails, and settings will save more reliably with better error feedback.
Store Owner Email Links Now Open Conversations Correctly
Fixed an issue where store owner emails (new orders, payments, session reminders, and review requests) weren't opening the correct conversation in your inbox. Additionally, if you manage multiple workspaces, these email links will now automatically switch you to the correct workspace before opening the conversation.
Store owner notifications now open conversations correctly
Fixed an issue where store owners clicking on customer refund request and issue report notifications were taken to the customer page instead of the conversation thread. Additionally, customer issue reports now appear as messages in the conversation, just like refund requests do, so store owners can see all customer escalations in one place.
Weekly Track Performance Report — See How Labels Engaged With Your Submissions
Artists now receive a weekly email digest showing how the labels you submitted tracks to engaged with them. Each week you'll see plays, downloads, supports, and shortlists broken down by track and label, along with week-over-week comparisons to track your momentum. The report arrives every Thursday so you can see how your submissions are performing across your network.
Share Link Download Notifications Now Show Full Track Details
When you received a notification about someone downloading your track via a share link, the notification detail pane would appear blank. We've fixed this so it now displays the same rich information as other notifications—including the track artwork, waveform, and a complete activity timeline showing who has viewed, played, or downloaded your track through that share link.
Stem requests now appear in your in-app notifications
When a label requests revised stems on a release, artists will now receive an in-app notification and see the request logged in their deal thread. Previously, stem requests were only sent by email, which could easily be missed, leaving artists unaware of what the label was waiting on.
Share-download notifications now show who downloaded and their inbox
When someone downloads a file you've shared, the notification now displays the downloader's identity and their inbox, making it easy to see who accessed your shared content. You can click the notification to navigate directly to their inbox profile.
Fixed Release Pause Notifications for Multi-Artist Releases
We've fixed an issue where pausing a release would only notify one artist, even when multiple artists were involved in the release. Now, every artist on a release receives a notification when the release is paused or resumed, and each artist sees a notification for each of their tracks in the release.
AUGUST 2026
Notification list now loads faster and uses less data
We've optimized how notifications load in the inbox. The notification list now refreshes intelligently based on actual changes rather than constantly polling in the background, which means faster performance and reduced data usage. Your notification badge and popover will feel just as responsive as before.
Improved Release Pause/Resume Notifications with Elevate Marketplace Support
Release pause and resume notifications now include more context like artist name, track title, and label name to help you quickly identify which release is affected. Additionally, we've added support for Elevate marketplace notifications covering orders, payments, payouts, messages, and refunds.
Artists now receive notifications when their release goes live
When a label publishes a release smart-link page, artists will now automatically receive an email notification letting them know their release is live. Previously, artists had no way to know their release had been published unless they manually checked the platform. The notification includes a direct link to the public release page that they can share.
Fixed Contract Email Links Now Direct You to the Right Place
We fixed an issue where clicking 'Revise & reissue' or 'Review & countersign' buttons in contract notification emails would sometimes lead to an error page. These buttons now correctly direct you to the contract management area where you can take action on the contract right away.
Artists now get notified when someone downloads from a share link
When someone downloads a track or playlist through a share link, the artist will now receive a notification about it. Artists can control whether they receive these notifications through their notification preferences settings.
New Deals & Contracts Notifications
We've added a new notification type for deal flow events, allowing you to receive in-app and email notifications when artists sign contracts, request changes, or deliver finals. You can manage these notifications alongside your other workspace notification preferences in Settings.
Fixed missing inbox names in notifications
We've fixed an issue where some notifications were displaying with blank inbox names, appearing as empty rows. This was caused by a timing issue during workspace setup that has now been corrected. We've also backfilled existing affected inboxes with proper names derived from their identifiers.
Revisions filter now available in Notifications
We've added a new 'Revisions' filter option to your Notifications page, allowing you to easily view and manage revision requests separately from other notifications. This joins your existing filters like Comments, Reviews, and other notification types for better organization.
JULY 2026
Fixed phantom notifications from deleted Spotlight tracks
When a track in Spotlight was removed, notifications about reactions, downloads, or saves for that track would remain in your inbox showing confusing messages like 'Reacted to undefined'. We've fixed this so those orphaned notifications are now properly cleaned up when tracks are deleted.
Review Notifications Now Accessible for Public Senders
We've fixed an issue where people who received review notifications from public submissions couldn't access them if they didn't have an existing account. Now, when you click a notification link, you can sign in with the email that received the notification, and we'll automatically link it to your account so you can see your submission details.
JUNE 2026
Improved Domain Handling and Email Link Updates
We've fixed how your studio's domain is handled across emails and redirects. If you're using a custom domain or the legacy kickandbass subdomain, all email links and redirects will now correctly point to your studio's proper web address. This ensures a seamless experience when clicking links in billing notifications, event reminders, campaign emails, and invitation links.
Fixed Weekly Inbox Report Email Settings
We've fixed a build error that was affecting the Weekly Inbox Report notification preferences in your workspace settings. The weekly digest email toggle now works correctly and will reliably save your preferences.
Push Notifications Now Available in Notification Settings
We've added push notifications as a new communication channel alongside in-app and email notifications. Push notifications are disabled by default to respect your preferences, but you can enable them anytime in your notification settings. You'll now have more control over how and when you receive updates about track submissions and reviews.
Instant Notifications & New Emoji Reactions on Posts
In-app notifications (mentions, reactions, and comments) now arrive instantly instead of with a delay. Posts in the rail feed now use a new emoji reaction picker instead of just a heart like button, letting you react with any emoji and see what others have reacted with.
Get notified when someone reacts to your posts and comments
When a member reacts to your post or comment in Studio, you'll now receive an in-app notification letting you know who reacted and what they reacted with. Clicking the notification takes you directly to the post or comment that was reacted to.
Updated notification defaults for track revisions and new partner perks section
We've made changes to how you receive notifications about track revisions in your inbox. Track revision notifications now default to in-app only, with email notifications opt-in. We've also added a new partner perks section on the free plan home page to showcase exclusive member benefits.
Per-inbox notification preferences restored in settings
You can once again control notification preferences individually for each inbox from your notification settings page. The tabbed view lets you fine-tune which channels receive alerts per inbox, and an 'Apply to all inboxes' option is available when you want to update everything at once. The Weekly Inbox Report email toggle is also back in its own section, separate from your per-inbox settings.
Notification preferences page loading correctly again
We've fixed an issue that was preventing the notification preferences page in Inbox from loading. You can now open your workspace notification settings without hitting an error. Everything should work as expected again.
Weekly inbox digest email for workspace owners and admins
You will now receive a weekly email digest every Monday summarising the activity in your Inbox. The report shows pending tracks awaiting review, week-over-week submission and contact growth, top genres, and your most active senders. You can manage your preference for this email at any time from your notification settings.
Notification settings now only show options that actually work
We've removed three notification toggles from Inbox settings that had no effect when switched on or off. Your settings page now only lists the notification types that are genuinely controllable, so what you configure is what actually happens. This means you can trust that turning a notification type off will stop those notifications.
Per-inbox notification preferences in Settings
You can now control notification preferences separately for each inbox in your workspace. Head to Settings and pick any inbox to choose exactly which email, push, and in-app notifications you want for that inbox, without affecting your others. You can also copy one inbox's settings across all your inboxes at once with the new Apply to all inboxes option.
MAY 2026
Cancellation emails now correctly identify the cancelling member
We fixed a bug where studio subscription cancellation emails could show the wrong member's name and email address. Studio owners now receive accurate notifications that correctly identify who cancelled the subscription. This ensures your team's communication around subscription changes is reliable and trustworthy.
APRIL 2026
Refreshed Inbox Settings design and select-all for notification channels
The Inbox Settings area has been updated with a cleaner, more consistent look that matches the rest of the Inbox design, with tidier navigation, better spacing, and a calmer layout throughout. You can now toggle all notifications for an entire channel at once: checking the In-app or Email column header turns every notification type for that channel on or off in one click. A save indicator also appears in the section header while your changes are being saved.
In-app notification center with real-time badge
We've added a new notification system to Studio Web, including a bell icon in the header that displays a real-time badge for unread notifications. Clicking the bell opens a slide-out panel where you can view and manage your notifications.

These changes will provide a more seamless and informative experience for Elevate customers.
Fixed issue with infinite loop when selecting notifications

Inbox navigation and notifications improvements
We've fixed a bug that affected the navigation in the Inbox, as well as improved the notifications experience for users.
New filter to view notifications by inbox type
You can now filter the Activity page to show notifications from different types of inboxes, like Label, Personal, or Curator. This makes it easier to focus on the notifications that matter most to you.
New email template with images and more customization options
We've updated the email template used for sending broadcast messages. The new template includes options to add a logo, featured image, call-to-action, and more. This gives you more flexibility to create visually appealing and informative emails for your audience.
Improved Tooltip Positioning in Notifications
We've fixed an issue where the tooltip for the 'Mark all as read' button in the notifications popover was not positioned correctly, making it hard to read. This update ensures the tooltip is now displayed in the proper location, improving the overall usability of the notifications feature.
Corrected display of comment authors in activity feed
We've fixed a bug where comment authors were incorrectly displayed in the activity/notifications section. Users will now see the correct author name when viewing comments from their inbox team or the submission sender.
