What's new in Trackstack
Every feature, improvement, and fix we ship on Trackstack.
NOVEMBER 2026
Fixed downloads appearing on cancelled or refunded orders
Previously, when an order was refunded or cancelled, the store order page would still show a 'Download pack' button. Clicking it would lead to a bare error message. Now, the download section properly shows a clear message explaining that the order is no longer active instead of offering a broken link.
Fixed missing download button for sample pack orders
We fixed an issue where buyers of sample pack orders (like R Squared RWorks packs) were incorrectly seeing "Your files aren't attached yet" on their order page, even though their files were ready to download. The download button now appears correctly so you can immediately access your purchased pack as a ZIP file.
OCTOBER 2026
New Upload Experience: Streamlined File Management and Flexible Sharing Options
We've completely redesigned the upload process to make it faster and more intuitive. You can now upload files, tag them with genre and other metadata, and choose where your tracks go (Send, Lists, Spotlight, or Link-in-Bio) all in one unified flow. The upload interface now remembers your progress, so you can refresh the page and pick up right where you left off.
Redesigned Profile Settings & Featured Tracks Management
We've completely redesigned how you manage your profile. Links are now edited in one place with automatic platform detection, inbox type changes ask for confirmation to show their impact, and featured tracks can be reordered by dragging with individual download controls. Your public profile page now displays a banner, shows featured tracks prominently, and lets you edit everything inline with a cleaner interface.
Fixed thumbnail uploads on new posts in Studio
We've fixed an issue that prevented you from saving thumbnails when creating a new post in Studio. Previously, attempting to upload and save a thumbnail on a new post would fail with a 'Post not found' error. Now thumbnail uploads work smoothly throughout the post creation process.
Fixed login form freezing when pressing Enter with Spanish browser language
We fixed an issue where users with Spanish as their browser language would see the login page switch to Spanish when pressing Enter to submit the login form, instead of actually logging in. The form now works correctly on the first Enter press.
Studio mobile app now works independently from the website
The Studio mobile app can now sign in and operate completely on its own, without needing the website to be running. Members can now sign in directly through the app using email codes, upload photos and voice notes, download files, report content, and block other members—all without relying on studio-web's services.
Module Status Badges Now Show Disabled and Archived States
Admins can now see clear visual indicators when installed modules are disabled or archived in the Customise section. Previously, these states weren't properly displayed, making it unclear which modules were inactive. Now, disabled and archived modules display distinctive badges so you can easily identify their status at a glance.
Cover images uploaded from Inbox now display correctly in Studio
We've fixed an issue where cover images added from Inbox weren't showing up in your Studio. Additionally, we've improved the member onboarding experience by ensuring studio logos display properly during the onboarding process.
Fixed billing cancellation date display
We fixed an issue where the cancellation date shown on your Billing page wasn't always accurate. When you schedule a subscription cancellation, the page now correctly displays when your subscription will end, making it easier to plan accordingly.
Spotlight For You Now Learns From Your Preferences
Your Spotlight For You recommendations now get smarter over time by learning from your feedback. When you mark tracks as "Not for me" or engage with tracks positively (by saving, upvoting, or listening), the recommendation engine remembers these signals to show you better matches in the future. This backend improvement makes your recommendations more personalized and relevant to your taste.
Enhanced E-Signature Audit Documentation
We've improved the e-signature audit trail for contracts by displaying the consent version on the Verified by line and making signature certificate headings more prominent. These changes help you have a clearer record of which consent version was agreed to when contracts were signed, and make it easier to identify signature information in your documents.
Signed Contracts Now Attached to Confirmation Emails
When you sign a contract, you'll now receive the fully executed contract as a PDF attachment in your confirmation email. This makes it easier to keep a record of your signed agreement without having to navigate back to the app to find it.
Event Reminder Emails Now Sent Reliably
We've fixed an issue where event reminder emails weren't being sent for certain events in Studio. The system now correctly identifies and sends reminders for all events that need them, ensuring you never miss an important notification about upcoming events.
View Your Purchased Add-ons on the Billing Page
We've added a new section to your Billing page that displays all add-ons you've purchased. This card shows each add-on's name, price, purchase date, and current status (Active or Refunded), giving you a complete overview of your account's purchased items alongside your membership information.
Fixed add-on checkout errors for sold-out and already-owned items
We've fixed an issue where users could encounter confusing error messages when trying to purchase add-ons that were either sold out or already owned by their account. Now you'll receive clear, helpful error messages that explain why a purchase can't be completed and suggest checking back later for sold-out items.
Prevent Duplicate Payment Cards from Being Saved
We've fixed an issue where the system would allow you to save the same payment card multiple times. Now when you try to add a card that's already saved to your account, the system will detect it and show you a clear message instead of creating a duplicate entry.
Track Feedback Now Preserves Artist Name from Submission
We've fixed an issue where the artist name you entered when submitting your track for feedback wasn't being saved and displayed properly. Now when you submit a track, the artist name you provide on the submission form will be preserved and shown throughout the feedback process, instead of defaulting to your profile name.
View and download sample pack ZIPs directly from the builder
Store owners can now see when a sample pack has an attached ZIP file, including its filename and size. A new card displays this information in the Samples section of the product editor, and provides a direct download link so you can verify the exact ZIP that will be delivered to buyers.
Sample pack pages no longer show '0 samples' for ZIP-delivered packs
We fixed an issue where sample packs delivered as a single ZIP file with a preview were incorrectly displaying '0 samples' on their product pages and cards. This made complete, ready-to-use packs appear empty. Now, packs without individual sample listings won't show a sample count at all, while packs with individual samples continue to display their count normally.
Team Section Improvements: Better Keyboard Navigation and Locale-Independent CSV Export
We've polished the Team section with three quality-of-life improvements. The date range filter buttons now work smoothly with keyboard navigation, allowing you to move between options and maintain focus naturally. CSV exports now use consistent, language-neutral formatting so your data looks the same regardless of your UI language. Finally, when updating who completed an order, your selection now stays put while we save the change, instead of snapping back unexpectedly.
Added confirmation feedback when liking or saving Spotlight tracks
We've improved the Spotlight experience by adding instant confirmation messages when you like, unlike, save, or remove tracks from your library. You'll now see a brief notification confirming that your action was successful, making it clearer that your preferences have been saved.
Improved Spotlight track interactions with faster UI updates
We've made several improvements to how the Spotlight feature handles track actions. When you save, vote on, or remove tracks from Spotlight, the interface now updates immediately to reflect your changes. We've also hidden list options from the composer's "To" field since that feature isn't available through that interface.
Improved Submission Details in Decline Notifications
We've fixed an issue where decline notifications weren't showing complete information about submissions. Now when you decline a submission, you'll see both the submission title and the track name (if they differ), along with the sender's name when relevant. We also improved error messages when applications fail to submit.
Fixed dark mode visibility for workspace plan labels
We've fixed an issue where workspace plan labels were difficult to read in dark mode. The labels now use appropriate colors for both light and dark themes, making them clearly visible regardless of your preference. We also improved the confirmation dialog when publishing posts to use a more consistent interface.
Fixed edited comments now update properly in real-time
We've fixed an issue where edited comments weren't displaying their updated content when you viewed them in read-only mode. Additionally, we've improved the experience when managing tracks and downloads by adding confirmation dialogs and fixing status messaging.
SoundCloud preview links for sample packs
Store owners can now add a SoundCloud link to their sample packs as a backup preview. If a pack doesn't have Trackstack's own audio preview, shoppers will hear a SoundCloud player instead; if it does, a small 'Listen on SoundCloud' link appears alongside it.
Fixed crash on mobile Sent page
We fixed a crash that was occurring on the mobile Sent page when viewing submissions with missing track information. The app will now gracefully handle these cases and display the submission details without crashing.
Fixed UI Issues with Create Post Button and Page Scrolling
We've fixed several visual issues that were affecting your experience. The 'Create' button in the post creation area now displays its loading indicator properly, and we've removed unnecessary scrollbars that were appearing on certain pages when they shouldn't have been.
Fix: Library tracks missing from the Add Tracks dialog
The track library in the Add Tracks window now loads your tracks in batches, fixing an issue where senders with large libraries saw 'Your library is empty' even though they had tracks. There's also a new 'Load more tracks' button, search now happens instantly on the server, and if loading fails you'll see a clear error with a retry option instead of a blank screen.
Multi-Artist Contract Signing Now Available
We've added support for contracts that require signatures from multiple artists on the same deal. Labels can now send contracts that need approval from all featured artists, with each artist signing individually and seeing the progress of other signers. The system ensures the contract is only finalized once every required artist has signed.
Inbox production builds restored and new filter features now available
We've fixed a critical issue that was preventing our inbox web app from deploying to production. Additionally, we've added support for 150 new text strings that enable powerful new inbox filtering and organization features, including improved filter views, activity tracking, and stack management capabilities.
Quick access to all music platforms from release cards
Release cards in the store catalog now display a row of platform icons at the bottom, allowing you to listen on Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud, YouTube, Bandcamp, Tidal, Amazon Music, and more—all directly from the catalog without visiting the release detail page. Each icon opens in a new tab, so you can explore multiple platforms while keeping your place.
Custom forms for sessions and mastering—sell on your terms
Store owners can now create custom forms for sessions and mixing/mastering products instead of using standard booking flows. You define the questions your customers answer, set an optional price, and collect exactly what you need. Buyers answer your questions, optionally pay, and you get their responses ready to review.
New 'Indie Tech' Genre Available
We've added a new music genre called 'Indie Tech' to our platform. This genre sits alongside our existing indie and electronic music categories, with a tempo range of 110–125 BPM (matching Indie Dance). Users can now tag, filter, and discover tracks in this emerging independent electronic music category across all our apps.
Public Inbox Descriptions Now Update Instantly
When inbox owners edit their public profile description or other details in their settings, those changes now appear immediately on the public inbox page without requiring a manual refresh. The page automatically checks for updates every 30 seconds while you're viewing it, ensuring you always see the most current information.
Fixed email links in application approval notifications
We fixed an issue where email links sent to applicants when their applications were approved or during the application process were pointing to incorrect environments. This was causing 404 errors when users tried to click through from their approval emails. Now all email links are correctly routed to the appropriate environment where the studio data actually exists.
Store cover photo uploads no longer get cropped into a square
Uploading a wide cover image for your Store (in settings or during onboarding) used to force it into a square crop, which then stretched oddly to fill the wide banner. Now your image uploads as-is and displays correctly across the full-width banner without distortion.
Fixed authentication cookie issues that could cause unexpected logouts
We've fixed a bug where authentication cookies could become duplicated across different pages in your workspace, which sometimes caused you to be unexpectedly logged out. This issue occurred when you navigated between different areas of the app—each section was creating its own copy of the authentication cookie instead of using a single shared one. Now all authentication cookies are properly consolidated in one location, making your login sessions more stable and reliable.
Improved Form Validation and Cover Image Preview in Studio
We've made several improvements to your experience when creating channels and stacks. When uploading a cover image for a channel in Studio, you'll now see a preview of your image immediately after selecting it, rather than having to wait until the form is saved. Additionally, we've added better validation for form inputs across the platform, including character limits and clearer error messages to help you create valid workspace names, stack names, and channel details.
Upload Featured Tracks Directly from Your Profile
We've improved the track uploading experience in your profile. You can now upload and manage featured tracks directly from the track picker dialog, with better image handling for portrait-oriented album art. Navigation in the Pages section has also been streamlined for easier access.
Fixed Insights pages display in dark mode
We've fixed visual display issues on the Insights pages when using dark mode. The pages now render correctly with proper colors and contrast, and the loading spinner is now centered properly in the content area instead of appearing at the top.
Improved Profile Scrolling Experience in Discover
We've fixed the scrolling behavior when viewing profiles in the Discover section. Previously, the entire profile page would scroll together, making it difficult to keep important header information visible while browsing through profile content. Now, the profile header and tabs stay fixed at the top while only the tab content scrolls, providing a smoother and more organized browsing experience.
Coach Profile Empty State Image Fixed
We've fixed a broken image that appeared on coach profiles when they haven't posted yet. The empty state message now displays properly with a cleaner, more modern design that looks great in both light and dark modes.
Spanish Translations Added to Submissions Pages
Several parts of the Submissions pages that were previously only shown in English—like chart labels, submission action menus, and the Trackstack Mobile promo—are now fully translated into Spanish and other supported languages. We also fixed some text that was hard to read in dark mode on the mobile app promotion.
Composer now remembers your message and title when you close and reopen it
We fixed an issue where the Composer's "Remember" feature would keep your attached tracks but lose the message and title you were writing. Now when you close the composer (by pressing Escape, swiping, or any other method) and reopen it, your complete form—including the title, message, and all attached tracks—will be restored exactly as you left it.
Fixed crashes when uploading large audio files
We've fixed a critical issue that was causing the application to crash when uploading very large audio files. Previously, the app would become unresponsive while processing the waveform visualization for files over 50MB. Now the upload process handles large files gracefully by using a placeholder waveform instead of attempting to process the entire file in memory.
Fixed sign-in code request no longer reloads the page
We fixed a bug where registered account holders trying to verify their email in the public inbox would see the page unexpectedly reload when clicking "Send me a code". The verification form now works smoothly without page refreshes, so your code arrives and the form stays intact.
Settings pages now load instantly without flickering
We fixed an issue where navigating between different settings pages would cause the sidebar to flicker, reset its scroll position, and briefly show loading states. Settings pages now maintain a stable sidebar that only updates the content area when you navigate, providing a much smoother experience.
Improved feedback template tracking and onboarding consistency
We've fixed an issue where feedback templates weren't being properly recorded when reviewers declined submissions. Additionally, new inboxes no longer receive duplicate default templates during setup. These changes ensure that feedback template usage is accurately tracked and your inbox starts with exactly the templates you need.
