Spotlight For You Now Learns From Your Preferences
Your Spotlight For You recommendations now get smarter over time by learning from your feedback. When you mark tracks as "Not for me" or engage with tracks positively (by saving, upvoting, or listening), the recommendation engine remembers these signals to show you better matches in the future. This backend improvement makes your recommendations more personalized and relevant to your taste.
Added confirmation feedback when liking or saving Spotlight tracks
We've improved the Spotlight experience by adding instant confirmation messages when you like, unlike, save, or remove tracks from your library. You'll now see a brief notification confirming that your action was successful, making it clearer that your preferences have been saved.
Improved Spotlight track interactions with faster UI updates
We've made several improvements to how the Spotlight feature handles track actions. When you save, vote on, or remove tracks from Spotlight, the interface now updates immediately to reflect your changes. We've also hidden list options from the composer's "To" field since that feature isn't available through that interface.
New 'Indie Tech' Genre Available
We've added a new music genre called 'Indie Tech' to our platform. This genre sits alongside our existing indie and electronic music categories, with a tempo range of 110–125 BPM (matching Indie Dance). Users can now tag, filter, and discover tracks in this emerging independent electronic music category across all our apps.
Improved Profile Scrolling Experience in Discover
We've fixed the scrolling behavior when viewing profiles in the Discover section. Previously, the entire profile page would scroll together, making it difficult to keep important header information visible while browsing through profile content. Now, the profile header and tabs stay fixed at the top while only the tab content scrolls, providing a smoother and more organized browsing experience.
Track Suggestions Now Display Available Inboxes
Fixed an issue where the Track Suggestions page was not showing any inboxes to send tracks to. The page now correctly displays all available inboxes that can receive your track submissions.
Discover privacy settings now fully respected
We've fixed several privacy settings that weren't being honored in Discover and when browsing inbox profiles. If you've hidden your genres or turned off your bio on your public profile, those settings are now properly respected everywhere—not just in some places. Additionally, delisted inboxes are now properly hidden from non-members, though senders who've submitted to an inbox can still view it.
SEPTEMBER 2026
Spotlight Navigation Item Restored in Sidebar
The Spotlight feature has been restored to the left sidebar navigation. Previously, the Spotlight row was missing from the sidebar, making it harder to access this feature. Now it appears as a navigation item that you can click to reach Spotlight, unless you've hidden it in your preferences.
For You recommendations now personalized to your selected inbox
We fixed an issue where the 'For You' section in Discover was showing trending inboxes for everyone instead of personalized recommendations based on your inbox. Now when you visit the For You tab, you'll see recommendations tailored to the inbox you have selected in the sidebar, and switching inboxes will update the list accordingly.
Improved Discover Browsing: Better Organization, Keyboard Navigation, and Loading Feedback
We've redesigned the Discover sorting interface to make it clearer and easier to use. The results now load automatically as you scroll (infinite scroll), keyboard shortcuts let you navigate quickly, and you'll see visual feedback when results are refreshing. Plus, we've added a "Sent recently" badge so you know at a glance which inboxes you've already contacted.
See when you last sent to inboxes in Discover
Inboxes in Discover now display a badge showing when you last sent tracks to them (e.g., "Sent 2h ago", "Sent just now"). This badge appears for any inbox you've sent to in the last 24 hours and updates instantly when you send new tracks. This makes it easier to track your recent outreach at a glance.
Discover improvements: better search feedback, accurate filters, and enhanced sorting
We've made several improvements to the Discover directory. When searches fail, you'll now see a friendly error message with a Retry option instead of empty results. Filter counts now accurately reflect your search results, and alphabetical sorting (A→Z / Z→A) is now handled server-side for consistency. Your search, filters, and sorting preferences are also preserved when switching between Charts and Lists views.
Search in Discover now finds everyone, not just recommendations
When searching in Discover's "For You" view, your search now covers everyone in Discover instead of only the ~200 recommended inboxes. The "For You" filter temporarily switches to "Best match" while you're searching, so you can find exactly who you're looking for. A helpful reminder explains how "For You" works when it's selected.
Improved Track Match Page with Better Search and Status Indicators
The Track Match page has been updated with clearer states for loading, errors, and empty results, making it easier to understand what's happening at a glance. You can now search your uploads directly on this page and send tracks straight to the composer without having to pick them again. Tracks still being analyzed now show an 'Analysis pending' badge so you always know their status.
Fixed track visibility in Spotlight Discovery
We've fixed an issue where the last track in your Spotlight Discovery list was being hidden behind the dock at the bottom of the screen. Now you'll be able to see and interact with all tracks without any obstruction.
AUGUST 2026
Track Match entry point now available in compose flow
We've added a new "Track Match" section to the compose page that surfaces your workspace's most recent uploads. From here, you can quickly find matches for tracks that have completed analysis, streamlining your workflow without leaving the compose interface.
Exclude genres from Discover results
Genre filters in Discover now work as a three-state toggle: click to include a genre, click again to exclude it (shown with a red minus icon), and click once more to turn the filter off. When you exclude a genre, inboxes that accept that genre won't appear in your results. We've also fixed a bug where excluded filters would disappear from the filter list.
Spotlight Discovery — Explore Artists on an Interactive Map
We've added Spotlight Discovery, a new way to explore artists in your Spotlight feed. Press play to start exploring, then interact with artist tiles on an infinite map to light them up and discover their tracks. It's a radio-like, explorative browsing experience with a unique visual interface.
JUNE 2026
Better feedback when saving or removing lists from Discover
When you save or remove a list from the Discover section, you'll now see a confirmation message letting you know the action was successful. If something goes wrong, you'll get a helpful error message so you know what happened.
Fixed list save/unsave sync between Discover and Saved tabs
We fixed an issue where saving or unsaving a list from the Discover tab wasn't immediately reflected in your Saved tab. Now when you save or unsave a list in Discover, your Saved lists will update right away without needing to refresh the page.
MAY 2026
Dark mode support for Spotlight track detail view
The Spotlight track detail page in Inbox now fully supports dark mode. You'll see consistent, properly themed colours across the activity timeline, track stats, and all detail views when using a dark theme. We also fixed a layout issue where the add button was overflowing its container.
Charts page layout no longer clips or overflows text
We've fixed a display issue on the Charts page in Inbox where track and artist names were getting cut off or overflowing their tiles. The page now uses a responsive one, two, or three column grid so content always fits neatly regardless of your screen size. Everything should look clean and be easy to read without any text spilling outside its container.
Spotlight now accessible from mobile navigation in Inbox
Spotlight was missing from the mobile navigation drawer in Inbox, making it unreachable on smaller screens. We've fixed this so Spotlight now appears in the mobile menu just as it does on desktop. You can access it from any device without switching to a different view.
Spotlight preferences now accessible in personal settings
You can now find and update your Spotlight preferences directly from your personal settings page in Inbox. A previous issue that prevented hidden Spotlight options from reappearing has been fixed. Your preferences will now save and display correctly every time.
Music platform icons, multi-country filtering, and several Inbox fixes
We've updated Inbox with a set of fixes and improvements across several areas. Music platform links in your profile now display official brand icons for services like Apple Music, Beatport, Tidal, Traxsource, and more. You can also now select multiple countries at once when filtering in Discover, and Instagram and Spotify icons show correctly in inbox row badges.
APRIL 2026
Discover button now navigates correctly in Inbox search
We fixed an issue in Inbox where the Discover button in search results was not working as expected. The button has also been renamed from Directory to Discover to better reflect where it takes you. Clicking it now reliably navigates you to the right place.
Improved Discover and Notifications experience
This update improves the Discover page by making search, sort, and filter settings persistent across navigation, and moves notification type filtering to the server-side to provide faster loading and better performance.

Add facet filtering to Spotlight
Users can now filter Spotlight tracks by genre, BPM range, and key using a new facet-based filtering system. This provides more granular control over the tracks displayed in Spotlight.
Sorting tracks by most reactions in Spotlight
This update adds a new sorting option to the Spotlight feeds, allowing users to view the most reacted tracks first. This helps users discover the most popular content in the Spotlight.
Spotlight View Mode Improvements
