SEPTEMBER 2026
New Studio Layout Options Now Available
We've introduced four distinct layout options for your studio workspace: Reader (top navigation with centered content), Console (sidebar-focused navigation), Spaces (narrow centered column), and Standard (the familiar three-column layout). You can now choose the layout that works best for your workflow from your Appearance settings.
New Layout Options for Studio Pages
Studio owners can now choose from different layout styles for their studio pages, including a new Reader layout that is set as the default for newly created studios. A layout picker has been added to the appearance settings, giving you more control over how your studio looks to members.
AUGUST 2026
Support for Multiple Studios
You can now create and manage multiple studios on Trackstack. The Communities feature has been renamed to Studios, giving you more flexibility to organize different projects, labels, or ventures. You can now create, search, and browse multiple studios from a centralized hub.
Improved post discovery with collection sidebars and customizable navigation
We've redesigned how you discover related content on individual posts. Instead of a carousel at the top, you'll now see a sidebar showing either posts from the same collection or related content based on tags. Admins can also customize which sections appear in the navigation menu and pin frequently-used collections for quick access.
New Studio Design Preview Tool
We've added a new design preview feature that lets you customize your Studio layout before sharing it with your team. You can now arrange navigation modules, choose different layouts, pick themes, and share your configuration via a simple link. Changes are instantly visible to your team members once you close the customization panel.
Improved For You Feed Filtering and Studio Customization Interface
We've fixed an issue where filters weren't being applied consistently across your entire For You feed candidate set. Additionally, we've added a new studio customization interface that lets you preview and personalize your workspace layout, modules, theme, and navigation before sharing it with your team.
Fixed landing page button links now work correctly
We've fixed an issue where clicking buttons on your landing page (like the Login button) wasn't taking you to the right place. Buttons will now navigate to the correct pages as configured in your landing page settings instead of redirecting back to the welcome page.
Channel and Event Access Changes Now Update Instantly for All Members
When a studio owner or admin changes who can access a channel or event, all team members with that page already open will now see the changes immediately without needing to refresh their browser. Previously, members had to manually reload their page to see access changes take effect.
Improved Stability and Reliability for Studio Operations
We've made changes to how studio operations work behind the scenes to make them more reliable and stable. This update fixes several technical issues that were causing errors in member management, resource creation, thread management, and onboarding workflows. The changes ensure these core features work more smoothly without disruption to your experience.
Fixed missing Globe icon in studio navigation
We've fixed a bug in the Studio where the Globe icon wasn't properly loaded in the module navigation menu. This ensures all navigation icons display correctly and consistently.
Studio Listing Settings
We've added new settings to manage how your studios appear in listings and discovery. You can now control studio visibility and listing preferences directly from your studio settings. The studio navigation has also been improved to make it easier to access your studios list.
Improved Trending Posts Discovery
We've improved how we determine which posts appear in your Trending Posts section. Instead of showing an arbitrary selection, we now rank posts by engagement—measuring likes and comments—with the newest posts breaking ties. This means you'll see the most popular and actively discussed content from your studio.
Channel visibility settings now work correctly
Fixed critical issues with the channel Access tab where visibility changes weren't being applied properly. Secret channels were incorrectly showing as Private, and converting channels between visibility levels now requires proper confirmation. Changes to channel visibility now work as intended.
Improved Admin Navigation Reliability
We fixed a bug where admin pages could become unreachable from the sidebar navigation. Additionally, we fixed a broken 'Add events to calendar' button that wasn't working properly. All admin navigation links and routes are now automatically kept in sync, preventing similar issues in the future.
Choose Whether to Post as Your Studio or as Yourself
Studio owners and admins can now choose on a per-post basis whether audio posts display under the studio's name or their personal name. This toggle appears in the audio post composer, giving you more flexibility in how you present your content.
JULY 2026
Fixed page freezing issue when saving resource edits
We've fixed a bug that would occasionally freeze the studio page after saving resource edits, requiring a manual page reload to regain control. The page should now remain fully responsive immediately after closing the resource editor.
Fixed page freezing issue when saving resource edits
We've fixed a bug that caused the Studio page to become unresponsive after saving changes to a resource. Previously, saving would temporarily freeze the interface, making it difficult to interact with other elements. The page now responds smoothly immediately after you save your edits.
Admin Posts Grid Now Shows Only Staff Content
The admin posts management page now displays only staff-authored posts and excludes chat messages, giving studio owners a cleaner view of their published content. This prevents member activity from cluttering your content management interface.
Fixed date and time display crash on post pages
We've resolved a crash that was occurring when displaying dates and times with timezone information on post pages in Studio. The date and time will now display correctly without causing errors.
Channel Posting and Reaction Permissions Now Work Correctly
Fixed a critical issue where members couldn't post or react in channels set to 'Everyone', even though those permissions were configured. The UI now properly respects channel permission settings for posting and reactions. Additionally, we fixed a display issue where some channels weren't showing in the module list as intended.
Fixed navigation layout issues on public pages
We've fixed a problem where navigating between pages on public sites would cause the layout to break or display incorrectly. When clicking between tabs or pages, the navigation sidebar and header will now stay visible and properly formatted. Previously, navigating from the homepage to other pages would hide these elements, and navigating back would display them incorrectly.
Studio Cover Image Support Now Available
We've added support for cover images in studios. This allows studios to display a cover image alongside their existing branding elements, providing more customization options for your studio's appearance.
New Public Homepage for Your Studio
Public studios now have a professional homepage that greets visitors before they log in. The homepage showcases your cover image, logo, description, membership plans, coaches, and upcoming events—instead of showing a locked content teaser. You can toggle this new homepage on or off in your studio settings, and upload a custom cover image to make it yours.
Google Analytics 4 tracking now working correctly in public studios
We've fixed an issue where Google Analytics 4 (GA4) measurement IDs weren't being loaded on publicly shared studios, even after being configured. GA4 events will now properly track on your public studio pages after visitors accept cookies.
AI-Generated Video Descriptions for Your Posts
When you attach a video from your library to a post or lesson, we now automatically generate a draft description and key takeaways using AI. You can instantly add this draft to your post with one click, then edit it however you like. It's completely optional—publishing is never affected.
Studio Search Reliability Improved
We've fixed an issue where studio search would sometimes fail with an error page instead of showing proper error messages. Search requests now have better timeout handling, so if a search takes too long, you'll see a clear error message instead of a broken page.
Pin Important Posts to Your Studio Feed
Studio owners and admins can now pin one post to the top of their home feed and one post per channel to keep important content front and center. When pinning a new post to a spot that already has a pinned post, you'll be asked to confirm the replacement. Pinned posts display with a "Pinned" badge so members know they're highlighted by staff.
Fixed studio logo display in public studio view
We fixed an issue where studio logos weren't displaying correctly when viewing a public studio without being logged in. Previously, you would see placeholder text instead of the studio's logo in the sidebar and mobile header. Now the logo displays properly.
Take Private Notes on Videos and Lessons
You can now take private notes while watching any video or lesson. Notes appear in a panel below the player and automatically save as you type. All your notes are collected in a new Notebook page, making it easy to review what you've written across all your content.
Video thumbnails now display in course lessons
When viewing videos inside a course lesson, you'll now see the same thumbnail image that appears in the video library before you press play. This gives you a preview of the video content and makes the lesson view more consistent with the library experience.
Click section titles to view all channels in that section
You can now click a sidebar section title (like "Fundamental Courses") to open a dedicated page showing all channels in that section as cards. The chevron icon still works as before to collapse and expand the section inline.
Fixed drag-and-drop reliability for videos between course sections
We've fixed a bug where dragging videos or lessons between course sections would sometimes silently fail and snap back to their original location. The drag-and-drop behavior is now reliable and consistent—your changes will persist every time.
Now you can delete lessons and manage video attachments in courses
Fixed three issues that prevented instructors from managing course lessons and videos. You can now delete lessons using a menu, remove library videos that stay attached on save, and see videos you've uploaded or recorded directly in the editor instead of an empty upload box.
Private Studio toggle now saves correctly
Fixed an issue where toggling your studio's privacy setting wasn't being saved. When you switched the Private Studio toggle on or off and clicked Save, the setting would revert after refreshing the page. Now your privacy preference saves properly every time, with confirmation messages to let you know it worked.
Studio API Improvements and Module Management Updates
We've modernized how your studio handles module installation and link previews behind the scenes. Module management now uses our improved API system for better reliability, and link previews in threads and posts are now more secure and consistent. These changes make the studio more stable and responsive.
Fixed coaches not displaying on welcome page for visitors
We've fixed an issue where coaches weren't showing up on the welcome landing page when you weren't signed in. Now, whether you're a new visitor or a signed-in member, you'll see your studio's coaches listed on the welcome page.
Public Studio Views Now Match Member Experience
Anonymous visitors to your public studio now see a more complete experience that mirrors what members see. The right sidebar shows trending posts and calendar subscriptions, a search bar appears in the header, and a Discover link is available in the navigation rail.
Studios Now Public by Default with Preview Access
Your studio is now publicly browsable by default. Visitors can see preview cards of your posts, courses, events, and other content with a clear invitation to join or log in. You can toggle this in Settings to go fully private if you prefer. Importantly, billing, payments, and memberships work the same way regardless of this setting.
Studio Logo is Now Required During Setup
When creating a new Studio, you'll now need to upload a logo before proceeding past step 2 of the onboarding wizard. This ensures every Studio launches with a branded logo instead of a default monogram. If you remove a logo mid-setup, you'll need to upload a new one before continuing.
Fixed thread reply loading issue in chat channels
We've fixed a bug in the thread panel that was causing unnecessary repeated loading of replies when clicking the Reply button. The thread panel now displays and functions more smoothly when you're replying to messages in channels.
Improved empty collection handling and wider save modal
We've fixed an issue where empty collections would incorrectly show a 404 error page. Now you can view empty collections and see a proper message when a collection doesn't exist or you don't have permission to access it. We've also made the save post modal wider on desktop for better usability.
Improved Channel Feed Loading and Access
We've updated how channel feeds load behind the scenes to make the experience more reliable and consistent. Members who have direct access to channels through invitations will now properly see channel feeds they previously couldn't access. Feed loading now uses the same robust access controls as the rest of the platform.
Unified Layout Experience Across All Studios
We've standardized the studio interface to use our modern Rails layout for all studios, removing the older Classic layout option. This means you'll now experience a consistent, streamlined interface regardless of when your studio was created. The layout includes improved navigation with channels, conversations, and member sidebars that work seamlessly across your studio.
One Studio Per Workspace
Workspaces can now have only one Studio. When you visit the Studio section, you'll be automatically directed to your active Studio, the onboarding wizard (if you have a draft in progress), or the Inbox landing page (if you don't have a Studio yet). The quick-create option from inbox profiles has been removed—Studios can only be created through the full onboarding wizard.
Connect Your Own Google Analytics to Studio
Studio owners can now connect their Google Analytics 4 property directly to their studio. Simply paste your Measurement ID in Settings → Integrations, and studio-web will automatically send page views and key member activity (signups, purchases, comments, RSVPs, and more) to your analytics dashboard. This works the same way as the existing Facebook Pixel integration and respects your members' privacy choices.
Improved Comment Editing and Button Interaction
We've fixed cursor behavior on interactive buttons in the Studio and improved how comments with formatted text are edited. Comments now properly display and preserve rich text formatting when you edit them, and buttons no longer show incorrect cursor states.
Improved Message Formatting in Studio Web
We've fixed message formatting in the Studio Web message composer so that text formatting options now work correctly with selected text. Additionally, italic text now displays properly in messages instead of appearing upright.
Fixed video upload issue in posts and plans
We've fixed a bug that prevented newly uploaded videos from being attached to posts and plans. Previously, uploads would appear to complete successfully but the video wouldn't actually save. Now your videos will properly attach and persist after upload.
Fixed direct messages reappearing in sidebar after sending
We fixed an issue where direct message conversations that you had closed would not reappear in your sidebar after you sent a message to them. Now when you send a message to a closed conversation, it will properly refresh and show up in your direct messages list again.
Message Replies Now Work in Direct Messages
We've fixed an issue that prevented users from replying to messages in Direct Messages. You can now reply to individual messages in DM conversations, just like you can in channels. Replies will appear in a threaded view, keeping conversations organized and easy to follow.
