The Warehouse Project Loads Up Its 20th Birthday With Four More Dates
XXL, Kneecap, The Haçienda, Eat Your Own Ears and Silva Bumpa all join a WHP26 season that now runs past 20 shows.
A Milestone Season
The Manchester institution, running since 2006, has bolted four fresh events onto its anniversary programme at Depot Mayfield, spread across November and December. The season itself opens this month, on September 18, with KI/KI taking the first night and Rampa + &ME, Solomun and the Homobloc weekender filling out the opening stretch before the newly confirmed dates arrive later in the year.
The New Additions
The heaviest of the four is XXL on November 28, leaning into techno, rave and hard dance with Anetha, MCR-T, Vladimir Dubyshkin, Darren Styles and Kyle Starkey among those booked. Two nights lean on Manchester's own club lineage: FAC51 The Haçienda returns on December 5 with Armand van Helden, Groove Armada, Luke Una and A Guy Called Gerald drawing on the city's house, acid house, techno and rave roots. Eat Your Own Ears takes over the full building on November 21, its Depot stage headed by Peggy Gou B2B MPH, Four Tet, Ben UFO and Hamdi, with live sets from 4AM KRU and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, while Brodinski B2B Slikback, HAAi, The Avalanches and Chaos In The CBD lead a deep Concourse bill and Flava D, Chloé Robinson, Mount Kimbie and Anish Kumar work the Archive and Vault.
Beyond the Club Nights
Two dates sit slightly apart from the rest. Kneecap bring their FENIAN World Tour to the venue on December 3, following their second album of the same name, and Silva Bumpa closes things out with an extended Concourse-only set on December 18 alongside Reeshy and Renceau. With more than 20 shows now confirmed and more promised, the anniversary also stretches beyond the dancefloor, taking in a 20 Years of The Warehouse Project exhibition in Spinningfields and Leigh Powis's film Twenty Years in Manchester.
