Product updates, release notes, and changelog from the Trackstack team.
We've added push notifications as a new communication channel alongside in-app and email notifications. Push notifications are disabled by default to respect your preferences, but you can enable them anytime in your notification settings. You'll now have more control over how and when you receive updates about track submissions and reviews.
Impact: Receive time-sensitive alerts about track downloads and review status changes directly to your device
We've added a helpful reminder banner across key pages in the web app encouraging you to download the Trackstack mobile app. The banner appears on desktop only and can be dismissed with a single click—once dismissed, it won't show up again anywhere in the app. It includes direct links to download the mobile app.
Impact: Discover the mobile app and manage your tracks on the go
We've added a new Insights tab to contact profiles that shows you a comprehensive breakdown of your relationship with each contact. You can now see your relationship score, interaction history over the past 12 months, and key statistics like positive/negative review rates—all visualized in an easy-to-read chart. This helps you quickly understand how productive and positive your relationship with each contact has been.
Impact: Instantly see your relationship score with each contact based on how you've reviewed their tracks
We've fixed an issue where inboxes selected in the directory weren't being properly added to lists before composing a campaign. Now when you select inboxes and send them to a list, they're reliably saved to that list first. You'll also see helpful notifications letting you know if the operation succeeded or if any inboxes failed to add.
Impact: Selected inboxes are now properly saved to lists before creating campaigns
We've added a quick-scan activity summary that appears at the top of the activity feed for each submitted track. This summary shows key metrics like plays, comments, downloads, and feedback status at a glance, making it easier to understand engagement with your submission at a quick look.
Impact: Quickly see all important engagement metrics (plays, comments, downloads, feedback) in one place
When uploading tracks or editing starting points in your library, you can now play a preview of the audio directly in the waveform picker. Click the play button to hear the track, and click anywhere on the waveform to jump to that position while listening. This makes it easier to find exactly where you want your track to start.
Impact: Hear your audio in real-time while adjusting the starting point, eliminating guesswork
We've added a new step to the onboarding process that helps you install Trackstack on your desktop and mobile devices. This step displays download links and a QR code to make it easy to get the apps set up on all your devices.
Impact: Easier setup process with clear installation prompts for desktop and mobile apps
We've added a new 'Brand' link to the Resources section of our website footer. This link takes you to our brand guidelines and assets, making it easier to access branding materials and resources.
Impact: Quick access to brand guidelines and assets from any page on the website
The changelog page now refreshes in real-time to display newly published updates immediately when you visit. Previously, new entries could take time to appear due to caching. The page is now faster and more reliable, with better error handling if something goes wrong.
Impact: See new updates instantly without waiting for cache to refresh
The inbox status header (which displays opening times, privacy settings, and other details) now automatically reflects your latest changes without requiring a page refresh. Previously, the header could show outdated information until you refreshed the page.
Impact: See opening time updates immediately in the status header after saving changes
Fixed an issue where the pending submission count badge in the sidebar wasn't refreshing after you bulk declined multiple submissions. Now when you perform a bulk decline action, the sidebar will immediately show the updated count of pending submissions across your inboxes.
Impact: Sidebar badges now accurately reflect pending submission counts after bulk actions
We fixed an issue where relationship strength indicators in your contacts table weren't displaying correctly. The connection strength badge now accurately reflects your interaction history with each contact, matching what you see in detailed contact views.
Impact: More accurate relationship strength indicators across all contact views
You can now upload new revisions of your tracks directly from the Sent submissions detail page, without needing to navigate away. This makes it easier to share updated versions of your music with collaborators and keep everything organized in one place.
Impact: Upload revised versions directly from submission details without extra navigation
We've fixed a bug that was causing track covers to disappear and show a generic default image when sending campaigns or bulk submissions. Tracks that had custom covers uploaded will now keep them. This was a permanent data issue, not a temporary display problem.
Impact: Track covers are preserved when sending campaigns and bulk submissions
We fixed an issue where the Threads section was appearing in your Studio navigation even when you had disabled the Threads module. The navigation now correctly respects your module settings, ensuring Threads only appears when it's enabled. This fix applies to both desktop and mobile layouts.
Impact: Navigation now accurately reflects your module settings
We've resolved critical issues that prevented new members from logging in after accepting free plan invitations and fixed problems when switching to a free plan. Members switching from paid to free plans will no longer experience unexpected billing issues.
Impact: New members can now successfully log in immediately after accepting a free plan invitation
Studio channels now have a unified settings modal with three tabs—Details, Access, and Permissions—letting you control who can post and react in each channel. You can set posting to allow everyone or team members only, and reactions to everyone, team members only, or disabled entirely.
Impact: Fine-grained control over channel activity—restrict posting and reactions by role
Posts and comments now support emoji reactions alongside the existing Like button. You can quickly react with a picker showing popular emojis (👍 ❤️ 😂 🔥 🎉 👀), see reaction counts, and toggle your reactions on or off. The heart Like button remains separate so you have full control over both.
Impact: Express reactions beyond just a Like—use emojis that better match your feelings
Store owners using Elevate now see a helpful 'Complete your Profile' checklist in their sidebar that guides them through 5 essential setup steps. New to this release is the ability to upload a cover image (a wide banner) directly in Settings, making it easy to finish your store profile and get discovered in the directory.
Impact: Clear progress tracking with a 5-item checklist showing what's needed to complete your store profile
When you comment on a post from the feed, the comment box now opens in a quick modal instead of navigating away. The modal closes instantly after you post, while your comment uploads in the background—no more waiting for the "Posting…" screen. We've also added helpful tooltips to the Comment, Save, and React buttons, and improved how embedded players load to keep the feed running smoothly.
Impact: Post comments without leaving the feed view
Post reactions now update instantly for all viewers across the studio — you'll see reactions appear within 1–2 seconds instead of waiting for a page refresh. Additionally, reaction notifications now show you which emoji was used and which post received the reaction, making it easier to understand what happened at a glance.
Impact: See post reactions appear instantly as other members react, without needing to refresh
We've repaired the video subtitle translation system that was silently broken since April. Studio members will now see properly translated subtitles in Spanish and other languages, instead of seeing English text mislabeled as other languages. Videos uploaded from now on, as well as previously uploaded videos, will get correct native-language, English, and Spanish subtitle tracks.
Impact: Spanish subtitles now display Spanish text instead of English
In-app notifications (mentions, reactions, and comments) now arrive instantly instead of with a delay. Posts in the rail feed now use a new emoji reaction picker instead of just a heart like button, letting you react with any emoji and see what others have reacted with.
Impact: Real-time notifications arrive instantly so you don't miss mentions or reactions
The Hears hearing protection partner offer is now live and accessible from your Settings → Partnerships page. You can now click through to claim the exclusive 15% discount on Hears products using your unique partner link.
Impact: Access to exclusive 15% off discount on Hears hearing protection products
You now have the ability to show or hide your bio on your public submission page. A new toggle switch in your inbox settings lets you control whether your bio appears when people view your profile before submitting. By default, if you already have a bio, it will continue to show—you can turn it off anytime.
Impact: Greater privacy control over what information is visible to potential submitters
When a member reacts to your post or comment in Studio, you'll now receive an in-app notification letting you know who reacted and what they reacted with. Clicking the notification takes you directly to the post or comment that was reacted to.
Impact: Stay engaged with community interactions by getting notified when people react to your content
We fixed an issue where rich text formatting in inbox bios wasn't displaying properly on the public profile page. Text formatting like lists, headings, and quoted text now appear exactly as they were written in the editor, with proper styling and layout.
Impact: Inbox bios now display with consistent formatting across the editor and public views
We've made changes to how you receive notifications about track revisions in your inbox. Track revision notifications now default to in-app only, with email notifications opt-in. We've also added a new partner perks section on the free plan home page to showcase exclusive member benefits.
Impact: Better control over notification volume with smarter defaults that reduce email clutter
Inbox owner biographies on the submission page now display with proper formatting, including links, bold text, and line breaks exactly as the owner wrote them. Previously, all formatting was lost and displayed as plain text.
Impact: Inbox bios now display with proper formatting including bold, italics, and links as intended by the inbox owner
Trackstack Mobile is now available for Android users on the Google Play Store. Android users can download the app directly from Google Play alongside the existing iOS App Store option. All marketing materials and app download pages have been updated to reflect Android availability.
Impact: Android users can now download Trackstack Mobile from Google Play Store
We've unified the drag-to-select feature across the inbox and directory pages to use a single, consistent implementation. This ensures that selecting multiple items by clicking and dragging works reliably the same way everywhere, with fewer opportunities for bugs to slip through.
Impact: More consistent and reliable drag-select behavior across the app
You can now select multiple inboxes at once from your curated inbox lists using checkboxes or drag-to-select. A floating action bar appears when items are selected, letting you quickly add them to another list, send messages to multiple inboxes, or remove them from the current list.
Impact: Save time managing inboxes by performing actions on multiple items at once instead of one at a time
We fixed an issue where some tracks in Inbox were not showing a waveform or playback controls. You can now preview and play any track in your Inbox regardless of how it was uploaded. No tracks should appear without a waveform anymore.
Impact: All tracks in your Inbox now show a playable waveform
We fixed a bug in Inbox where your Instagram account could appear as Connected before the connection was confirmed by our servers. The status indicator now only shows Connected once your account is fully verified and ready to use. This means you can trust that what you see in your Connected Accounts settings accurately reflects your real connection state.
Impact: No more false Connected status for Instagram before setup is complete
You can now re-upload a track directly from your Sent inbox when a submission becomes unavailable. This brings the submission back to an active state without needing to start a new one from scratch. We've added a clear re-upload action so you always have a way to recover and keep your submissions moving.
Impact: Recover unavailable Sent submissions without losing your original submission history
Scrolling through a large pending queue is now noticeably smoother and faster. Tracks load earlier as you scroll so you no longer hit a spinner or stutter when approaching the bottom. This improvement is most noticeable in inboxes with hundreds or thousands of submissions.
Impact: No pauses or loading spinners when scrolling quickly through a large queue
We've fixed a bug where the pending queue in your Inbox would stop loading after the first couple of pages, leaving newer submissions unreachable. You can now scroll through your full pending queue regardless of how many tracks are waiting. The track count shown in your Inbox will also correctly reflect all pending submissions.
Impact: All pending submissions are now reachable by scrolling, no matter how large your inbox is
You can now re-upload a track directly from a Sent submission that has become unavailable. This lets you replace the missing file and reactivate the submission without having to start over. The option is available on both desktop and mobile.
Impact: Recover unavailable Sent submissions without losing your existing submission history
We've fixed three issues in the Studio post editor that were getting in the way of publishing. YouTube video thumbnails now load correctly in your posts list, the author selector works reliably without unexpected focus or click behaviour, and the schedule picker no longer closes itself when you try to pick a date.
Impact: YouTube thumbnails display correctly in your posts list without errors
You can once again use Enter and Backspace keyboard shortcuts to approve or reject tracks while reviewing submissions in Inbox. These shortcuts stopped working after a recent update to the submissions view and have now been restored. Your review workflow is back to full speed without needing to reach for the mouse.
Impact: Approve or reject tracks quickly using Enter and Backspace without clicking
We fixed an issue where tracks uploaded recently would show a broken or missing artwork image in the share modal and on public share pages. You will now see a proper fallback artwork whenever a track's artwork is still being processed. This means sharing a track right after uploading it will always look polished and complete.
Impact: Artwork always appears when sharing a track, even if it was just uploaded
We've fixed an issue in Inbox where the mouse cursor would display incorrectly when hovering over different parts of the comment composer. Clickable elements now show a pointer cursor as expected, and text areas show the correct text cursor. Everything in the comment section should now feel consistent and intuitive to interact with.
Impact: Clickable buttons and controls in the comment composer now show the correct pointer cursor
You can once again control notification preferences individually for each inbox from your notification settings page. The tabbed view lets you fine-tune which channels receive alerts per inbox, and an 'Apply to all inboxes' option is available when you want to update everything at once. The Weekly Inbox Report email toggle is also back in its own section, separate from your per-inbox settings.
Impact: Set notification preferences independently for each inbox instead of a single shared setting
The formatting toolbar in the bio editor on your profile settings page is now properly visible. You can now use bold, italic, and other rich-text options without the toolbar being hidden or inaccessible. This fix ensures the bio editor works as expected when updating your profile.
Impact: Formatting toolbar is always visible when editing your bio
You can now link your Songstats profile to your Trackstack inbox directly from your workspace. When you open your inbox, you may see a one-time prompt asking you to confirm a suggested profile, search for the right one, or let us know you don't have one. Linking your profile unlocks analytics powered by your Songstats data.
Impact: Quickly confirm or find your Songstats profile without leaving your workspace
We fixed an issue in Inbox where selecting a track would not show its details. You can now click a track and immediately see the full track information as expected. Everything works as it should when browsing and reviewing tracks in your inbox.
Impact: Track details appear correctly when you select a track
We've fixed an issue that was preventing the notification preferences page in Inbox from loading. You can now open your workspace notification settings without hitting an error. Everything should work as expected again.
Impact: Notification preferences page loads without errors
You can now start direct messages and group chats in Studio using a new message modal, accessible via the '+' button in the Direct Messages section. Search for members, select one or more, and jump straight into a conversation. The sidebar now shows only your active conversations instead of every studio member, keeping things focused and easy to navigate.
Impact: Start 1:1 or group chats from a clean search-and-select modal
You will now receive a weekly email digest every Monday summarising the activity in your Inbox. The report shows pending tracks awaiting review, week-over-week submission and contact growth, top genres, and your most active senders. You can manage your preference for this email at any time from your notification settings.
Impact: Stay on top of pending tracks without logging in to check manually
We fixed an issue in Inbox where cancelled submissions in your Sent folder were incorrectly showing as 'Unavailable' instead of 'Cancelled'. You can now clearly see which submissions have been cancelled, making it easier to understand the true status of your outgoing demo submissions at a glance.
Impact: Sent submissions that have been cancelled now display the correct 'Cancelled' status
